The Arthurian Legend has endured the test of time amazingly over the years, the heroism, drama, and even love and comedy at some times has caught the attention of millions of readers and it still has the ability to do so. The extreme detail that instantly gets you hooked, the battles, and the love triangles, it's intriguing how they lived many years ago. I know I could never do it, especially with how the women were treated, such as they were not "equal" to men. It's mind blowing how much the times have changed in rather a short time.
Another way it has endured the test of time is the pure chivalry that pertains to the Arthurian Legend that has also always had the attention of many because the idea of something so honorable, brave, and respected for such a long period of time is rather shocking. Being brave, honored, respected, and noble is almost everyone's dreams. It would feel so good to be that looked up at and that much of a role model, and on top of that, rich!
Finally, I think love is another big aspect of the novels because love is so intriguing, whether you feel it or you are loved, it is always a part of your life, forever. The intense love triangles of wives and husbands cheating behind their partners back, the suspense of when and how is the other lover going to find out about their decieving partner, it all gets your attention on top of their chivlary, the heroes, the nobles, and everything else that follows. The Arthurian Legend will forever be popular, and still being read about even years from now, and it will be found in books and symbolized in movies til the end of time.

Novel Cover
I chose the second book cover for The Fifth Child. I think this one fits the story perfectly. One reason is because in my opinion it matches the storyline better than the one that we had does. Often times in the story it is described that Ben is crouching down looking ready to lunge. I think this cover shows more about Ben. He is very strong for his age but he is short. ("Once, Harriet foudn Paul in a corner of the kitchen, stretched up on tiptoes, trying to evade Ben's hands, which were reaching up to his throat. Short powerful Ben; tall spidery Paul-if Ben wanted to, he could kill Paul." -Lessing pg. 109) This passage is an example of how strong Ben is and how easily he could destroy so much. That is why I think this cover would be perfect for the novel.
